TRIBECA TOWNHOUSE

Originally a 3-story structure, a 2-story addition provides the family with more living space while adding a fresh perspective on the street. The twists and folds of the facade are accomplished with standard-sized bricks, a material characteristic of the neighborhood. The geometry is mirrored in the interior, where a wall of brick provides seating, shelving, and even a fireplace.

I was brought onto this project in the design-development and construction management phases. The studio approach was ‘hands-on’ and I carried many custom-detailed projects from design to fabrication and then installation.

The team worked daily from a site office and I had the opportunity to closely manage and collaborate with our skilled GC team and subcontractors on interior and exterior details.
